Academic vs. Creative Writing

Lies! Such lies!!

There are a lot of different types of writing-I prefer creative writing? Why? Because it's obviously the best XD haha!

Anyway, me being in high school still means that I obviously have a lot of essays to write. Now just because I like to write doesn't mean I like essays by any means. Actually I loathe them with a passion (They're not on the top of that small list, but they're still on it lols) If I can, I put them off for as long as possible, which isn't good, but hey, it happens. And it's only going to get worse from here on out because I have college next semester/school year.

Boy, can't wait-___-

I'm a creative writer, a novelist, a soon-to-be-author. I'm not an English teacher, and by all means, I never will:P

Editing Sucks!!

So umm...yeah, the title once again explains it all. I officially hate editing, like, with a passion.

I recently finished typing up one of my stories onto the computer!:D I'm going to self-publish it, hopefully before I turn 18. I wrote the story a little over a year ago; I write all my stories down on paper first because I'm more comfortable using a pencil than a keyboard. Although that's kinda my downfall since I waste a large chunk of my time retyping a story onto the computer...

Anyway, I ramble XD haha! But I'm starting my first revisions, this one is basically catching major mistakes I easily see. The next time I will read each chapter and fix each part, probably changing nearly the entire thing. The third time I 'm going to read it aloud....

After that...well we'll see, lols. Anyway again...This is hard. It gives me a headache;I would love to have someone do this awful task for me. Although I think it's so awful because it's on the computer. I honestly think that's it, because at school I can revise essays no problem (and they're on paper)

So I'm done for the night-goodnight editing, hahahaha!

Lack of sleep

Third day in a row, so far, so good! XD

My writing ranting today should be obvious, considering the title up there. Anyhoo... sleep. It's important, like, really important. I'm pretty sure the average person needs around eight hours of it. I'm not entirely sure to be honest. But with me being a writer (and plenty of other things) I honestly don't have the time to waste on sleep. I find it pointless hours being thrown away for no reason.

Normally, when I'm not at school, like the weekends, I'm writing in the wee hours of the night. Although sometimes I tend to get distracted but that's another story X3 My work hours are from 10:00pm to 3:30 am. That's a pretty short shift, but those are precious hours that are being wasted by sleep. So that's why I stay up so late. Plus I think I can say that I'm a night owl and all. Then sometimes I'm up even later doing things outside of my writing life. Basically, my schedule is flip-flopped. Only instead of me resting during the day... I just don't rest, lols.

So what about the consequences of my actions? Pft, well I'm sure there's many. What I'm doing can't be good for me. I mean, I'm only getting around two hours of sleep during these days. It has to be killing me slowly.... Buttttttt...stuff happens. Rather be killing myself by doing the things I love. Don't you all agree? XD hahaha

Spamming

Yes, I admit it... I'm guilty of spamming XD

But I've learned that there are better ways to advertise yourself, ways that won't make people hate you!

My own spamming was out of innocence, I wasn't trying to make people angry. My friend and I were in a competition awhile back with our Facebook pages; we were trying to see who could reach 1,000 fans first. We advertised ourselves on other book pages and groups. I didn't expect to receive so much hate from it.

Many other authors out there were very hostile, ranging from them replying extremely rude comments to them posting about me. I've seen a lot of hate groups about me... Kinda hurt, but hey, that's just how the world is today:\

Me being an extremely sensitive person, which I should definitely try to fix (harder said than done), I had to find a new way to advertise. I'm very active on my Facebook page, and I've joined many sites online that help my writing. I use those to get my name out. No more spamming...

My crappy internet

I think that it's safe for me to say that I'm on the internet a lot! I do a lot on here, from FB, to devianArt, to this (occasionally) and etc. So it'd be really helpful if I had dependable internet to rely on....

Well I don't have that -___- And that's because of this!
Yes, I'm calling you out Mediacom! It has awful internet service!! Half the time it'll show up, but it won't let me connect to the internet, even after I enter my password. The other half it doesn't show up. Needless to say, I'm annoyed. I'll do other things until it possibly shows up again, but sometimes I really need to get online.

Sooooo... Mediacom is trying to prevent me from achieving my best... I think I need new internet service XD hahaha!

Man I'm a sucky blogger XD

Well I decided that I should probably get on my blog today... I haven't been on here in months sadly. Been too busy with school to take the time for it. And excuses, excuses:P lols

But this year I'm going to be different, and work even harder. My goal is to become published before I turn 18, and to do that I'm def. going to need to put more work into my writing.

Anyway, I need to get back to class now. I'm going to try and post more on here.
