Hey everyone. My name is Dominique Weldon and I'm a seventeen year old writer from the middle of nowhere, well a place known as Iowa. 

I've lived here my entire life, so it's safe to say I'm ready to explore the rest of the world as soon as possible! I'm pretty much like any other teen out there; I stay up until the sun is out, sleep in till the sun is down, deals with the burden of school, works at my part-time job when I'm not at school...and the list goes on. One thing that is different is my love for the written word.

Ever since the age of five-maybe even earlier- I've been writing. The funny thing is that I didn't even realize it until a decade later! The first story that I remember writing was called 'The Color World', and let me tell you, I was pretty proud of that little story. The works continued from there. In elementary I dabbled in short fifty page stories and a ton of fan fiction! The kids used to make fun of me because I always carried six plus notebooks around and teased my writing. Still it didn't stop me... It just made me never want to share my writing with anyone- like,until now!

Jr. High is when the desire to write full-length novels came to me. I can't believe I forgot that I've always been writing, because in 8th grade something gnawed at me on the inside. 'Writing a book sounds like so much fun!' That thought came, and now, four years later, I have sixteen books on my plate! All are very dear to my heart.

I would love more than anything to be published-the idea of holding a book that I created in my own hands is what I yearn for! It won't be long before I truly hit the literary world, and I won't stop until I make it! Even if I can't, I'll always be writing. After all, I live for the pen and paper.
